HOW TUFO TUBULAR CLINCHER WORKS

When inflated, the tubular clincher. in the same manner as a tubular tire, is pressed toward the rim. Simultaneously, the bead blocks of the profiled rubber band spread out embedding on the rim shoulders and eliminating any rotation of the tire against the rim as well as the possibility of the tire unseating. There is no pressure applied to the rim walls. Normal clincher tires are continually trying to force the rims walls apart. The higher the pressure used by a normal clincher tire the more pressure exerted against the rim. The Tufo tubular clincher does not cause this pressure against the rim, no matter how much pressure is used in the tire.

BENEFITS OF TUBULAR CLINCHER TIRES

high inflation pressures up to 220 psi, all pressure is containerd by the tire, not the rim.

same ride qualities as a tubular tire

no tools required to mount & dismount tires

tire can be ridden flat if need be.

ulalizes Tufo's sealant to either repair or prevent flats.
